What:
The Scene: Fashionable Dallasites and local artists sipped cocktails, munched on popcorn, cooled off on organic gelato and checked out Abi's new line in a Goth inspired carnival of sorts. Entertainment was provided by the Dallas Vixens of Vaudeville and Circus Della Morte who performed quirky and dark stunts such as eating glass light bulbs and nostril drilling (yes, you read correctly..kids do not attempt at home). The scene was in line with the look of the fall line on Ferrin's website which was photographed with the backdrop of thousands of old tires. During the show Ferrin explained to her guests how she was inspired to showcase man's environmental waste with her work to make a statement about her passion for saving the environment. The designer is committed to bringing light to global issues with her mantra of fashion with freedom and purpose.
The Look: Ferrin's line is heavy in blacks, red tones, neutrals along with some spectacular hand painted prints. The line was consistent with Ferrin's classic flowing patterns but also had some trendy rompers and tunics paired with fun leggings. Some standout pieces was the black crop jacket with wood detailing (pictured above: bottom right) and the Anna vest.
Ferrin's line is available at Rich Hippie, The Shak at Stanley Korshak and Ferrin's studio in South Side on Lamar, The Revolving Door.
